It all began when George was a young lad back in the sixties. He began playing guitar in a dance band in a local club in South Shields. Then progressed with his own little band which lasted for a couple of years.   George then tried his hand at going solo in the workingmen’s clubs and pubs in the North East, which was a wonderful training ground for what was to come.
In the seventies, George helped to form the South Tyneside Country Music Club which ran for 29 years in South Shields, that’s where he met a banjo player and as a duo they ventured out into the folk clubs and country clubs of the North East doing quite well, to the point of being the support act to Boxcar Willie on his first tour in the seventies.
While running the club George met his wonderfully supportive wife Barbara, who is also a great country fan.   In time they had two boys, Glenn and Kris.   As time moved on Glenn was finishing school but, as a lot of young lads fine out, jobs were hard to come by, so Glenn took to the bass guitar and along with his dad they formed the Glenn Daniels Duo (being Glenn’s first name and Kris’s middle name Daniel) they turned professional in 1996, after a while Kris began to show an interest in the keyboard and it wasn’t long before he made the same decision as Glenn to go professional.   Soon it was time to find a new name and listening to a song by Alan Westwood mentioning an ‘Arizona Flame’, that was it.
